Soup Kitchen: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Christ Lutheran Church.

Second Annual United Blood Services of Minot and Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Competition: Continues Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Dakota Square Mall, next to Foot Locker. The event is a friendly, but competitive event between the Minot Air Force Base Security Forces and Minot area law enforcement and the fire/ambulance department to see which agency can recruit the most blood donors for their organization. The department or squadron recruiting the most donors will receive a trophy and bragging rights. There will be free Battle T-shirts and numerous prize drawings. Ice hockey and roller skating: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.

Ice skating and in-line hockey: 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Maysa Arena.

The Minot Recreation Commission will hold a Summer Olympic Track Meet for children ages 6-14: 6:30 p.m., Duane Carlson Stadium. There will be running and field events. The meet is open to any children of those ages, and there is no cost. People do not need to preregister. Call 857-4730 for more information.

Minot Democratic Women's Recognition Banquet: Tuesday in the Vegas Motel, Minot. The social will start at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m., followed by awards. Several Minot area women will be recognized for their service to the Democratic-NPL. For more information and to reserve tickets, contact Lynette Wold at 838-3421.

The Minot State University Summer Theatre will present ""Nunsensation: The Nunsense Vegas Revue": Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., MSU Amphitheater. Tickets are $8 for adults; $7 for senior citizens and children over age 12; $5 for children ages 12 and under; and $3 for MSU personnel and summer students with a current MSU identification card. Minot City Council's Finance and Improvements Committee meeting, followed by Airport Committee meeting: 4:15 p.m., City Hall, Council Chambers.

YOUTH EVENTS

Side by Side Story Hour for children and their caregiver, parent or grandparent: Tuesdays, 10 a.m., through Aug. 4, Minot Public Library Imagination Station.

Sign Language Story Hour for children ages 2 through 6: 1 p.m., Minot Public Library Imagination Station. Story interpreter Jolene Haffner will do children's stories in sign language.

Teddy Bear Tales for children and their parents: Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m., through July 14, Minot Public Library Imagination Station.
