Hazel L. Smith of Williston will celebrate her 100th birthday Dec. 2 with a card shower arranged by her family. Cards can be sent to 723-7th St. W, Williston, ND 58801. She was born in Des Lacs. She married Raymond Smith and moved to Calumet, Minn. She was a cook on the Great Northern Railroad. They moved to Minot in 1972. Raymond died in 1981. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot. She continued to live in Minot until January when she moved to Williston to live with her nephew and niece, Larry and Claudia Kinyon.
