Zimbelman plans to run for re-election as Minot's mayor

Minot Mayor Curt Zimbelman announced today that he will be a candidate for mayor in the upcoming June election. Zimbelman, 59, has served two terms as mayor after serving as a city alderman for six terms. "If elected, I will continue to represent the citizens of Minot to the best of my ability," Zimbelman said. "We have tremendous opportunities in Minot and the region. I hope to help capitalize on those opportunities and turn them into reality." Zimbelman is a lifelong resident of Minot, graduating from Minot Model High School and Minot State University. He is vice president of operations at First Western Bank and Trust.
